Caroline loves helping me get the mail. One day, she and Ben brought the mail in to me and she gave me a letter (actually it was a bill- no fun!) and asked me if it was a letter for her from Grandy. I guess that sort of put a guilt trip on Grandy, because since I told her, she has been trying to send cards for Caroline. Recently, she sent us a package of fun books and they have become part of our nightly reading ritual since Caroline opened them. This package was special because we actually had to go to the post office to pick it up since we missed the delivery! Caroline was so excited to go and pick up a package from Grandy and Poppy and wanted to open it in the car!
Two of the books are from the Miss Spider series: Little Miss Spider, and Miss Spider's Tea Party. Caroline calls them "The Itsy Bitsy Spider" books. Though the literature is a little mature for a two year old, the illustrations are so colorful and creative and definitely hold the attention. So all of you parents out there, if you aren't familiar with them, they are a good addition to your little ones' library!
The other book Grandy and Poppy sent is called, Llama, Llama, Red Pajama. Caroline fell in love with this book when cousin Eva brought it along this summer on our trip to Tennessee. Another good one!
Anyway, these have been the books of choice for the last week. Thank you, Grandy and Poppy! Caroline loves the books!
