Happy Valentine's Day!

We went to a little Valentine's party at Chrissie's house on Wednesday with our playgroup friends from the neighborhood. I forgot to bring my camera, so of course there are no pictures from that. I have hopefully redeemed myself with a few pictures I took this weekend (Caroline even has on a festive outfit!) so Grandy- scrapbook away! Hope I've given you a little something to work with. :)

We had a low key weekend, as both Ben and Caroline were under the weather. Saturday was a relaxing day, but we did manage to slip in a little Valentine's Day celebration with Caroline. Grandy and Poppy sent her a beautiful jewelry box that plays music, which has found it's proper place on Caroline's vanity table. Grandma and Papa sent her a card and gave her some money (I'm sure we'll figure out how to spend it:) Thank you to the grandparents for the gifts!

Curious George is Caroline's latest fave, so we got her a Curious George game. Our celebration was complete with a cupcake (vegan, of course- thank goodness for Earth Fare!). Caroline enjoyed this most of all, and savored every bite. Hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's Day with the ones you love! We are blessed to have so much love in our lives.

Riding My Tricycle!

We had a special visitor come into town this weekend. Grandma Rogers caught an e-saver and came to Charlotte on Saturday morning. Caroline greeted her with a big hug at the airport and was so excited to see her.

The weather was beautiful all weekend, so naturally we were outdoors a lot. Lately, Caroline has learned to ride her tricycle on her own. She still needs a little practice with steering, but has it down for the most part. She gets a little frustrated at times, and even said, "This is hard!" after riding for a while. I couldn't get a smile out of her while riding it though! She was very serious about it.

Daddy's little girl is growing up!

Ali came over to play for a little while on Saturday afternoon, and as you can see, they had lots of fun.

On Sunday afternoon, we went to Pineville Lake Park. Caroline rode her tricycle around the whole lake- which is quite a distance for a little girl! I'm surprised that she wasn't sore the next day. We happened to see Chrissie and Ali there (it wasn't even planned!) and played with them for a little while too.

Caroline is serious about riding her tricycle!

Finally, there's a smile!

Check out this video of Caroline riding around the lake. It was rather difficult to keep up with her, while trying to walk and record at the same time, so it's not the best footage! We enjoyed your visit, Grandma! Thanks for coming to see us!
