Another Birthday Celebration!

As I've previously mentioned, my family makes a big deal out of birthdays and the celebrating doesn't stop just because you grew up. :) We still have a birthday party for every family member, and often combine parties for those sharing birthdays in the same month. Since we were in Little Rock in March this year, Caroline got to celebrate her birthday early with my family. She shared the celebration with my Aunt Barbara and cousin's husband, Bill. Caroline enjoyed every moment of it and savored every bite of her special cupcakes that Grandy special ordered. She chose Hello Kitty for the theme (sorry Aunt Barbara and Bill!) While everyone else enjoyed pizza, Caroline ate a happy meal from McDonalds (darn, those food allergies! But a happy meal from McDonald's isn't such a bad deal. :) This was the first celebration of Caroline's birthday we are having this year. She also had a party in Charlotte with Ben's family this weekend (which I will blog about soon), and I am having a backyard kiddie party for her the week of her birthday. Three birthday celebrations for a 3 year old. Hope her expectations aren't too high for years to come! Here are some more pics from celebration #1. The big day is actually on April 5.

Enjoying a peep before the party...

Look at my cupcakes!

Happy Birthday!

Time to dig in!

As you can see, Caroline had plenty of gifts to open. When she opened some pajamas from Mama Dot, she wanted to put them on immediately. She striped down to her underwear and paraded around until I got the tags off the pajamas and put them on her. We all thought it was so funny because she did the same thing at Christmas when she opened pajamas.

What a fun celebration! Thanks for the birthday party, Grandy and Poppy! Hope to see you soon!
