A "Not So Jolly" Meeting With Santa
The Women's Club in our neighborhood hosts a "Sunday with Santa" event, and all the kids can come and get their picture made with Santa at the clubhouse. It is nice to not have to got to the mall and stand in a long line just to get an overpriced picture with Santa. I worked the "Sunday with Santa" event this year and was at the door taking up money, so Ben brought Caroline up to have her picture made. Daddy did a good job getting her dressed, but when it came to fixing her hair, Mommy had to step in. Last year, Caroline was all about Santa and couldn't stop touching his beard. This year, however, she was terrified of him! She wouldn't sit in his lap without a fight, and we quickly snapped the picture. What was so funny was when we were walking away, her tears dried up all of the sudden, she waved at Santa and said "Bye-bye!" Kind of like in a "good riddance" tone! I saw several of my friends and their babies from our playgroup there and they said that their babies also cried on Santa's lap. I guess it's the age!

Caroline will really enjoy seeing this picture when she is older. I think we all have pictures of our children when they were not so fond of Santa. We will have to show her the picture of her Mommy when she was around 4 years of age and was terrified of Santa!
We love you, Caroline!
