This entry shows a little what we did toward the end of the summer. After visiting Little Rock in late July, we stopped in Knoxville for a few days. One of the fun things we did was go to the Market Square in downtown Knoxville so the girls could splash around in the fountains. Being the end of July, it was certainly hot enough for this. The girls then put on a "show" with this little microphone. Last, but not least, we got some italian ice from Rita's to cool off.
Our really good friends, The Slacks, lived with us for a month while they waited on their new house to be ready. They were fortunate enough to sell their house very quickly, and we were happy to have them as our house guests. In fact, Chrissie and I decided that it made things much easier to split the duties: cooking, getting up early with the girls, and watching the girls.
Caroline and Ali enjoyed every minute of it, and we were surprised that they got along so well considering they were together so much. Though they have very different personalities, they compliment each other and in some ways, are like two peas in a pod. Here is a picture of them playing dress up. So much fun!
